Cant go by PSI, its too inaccurate. You can lift up to "80" but if you drop from 120 down to 80, it will be at a total different height. Size of lines/valves has a lot to do with it as well. Smaller lines and valves tend to fill up the bag more efficiently than larger ones.
As for stiffness, using the same above numbers and fact, when you lift to that psi level, its nice and soft, but coming down from full lockup to the same psi, you're not only higher but much stiffer.
You can all argue this as much as you want, but its fact... if psi was accurate enough, they wouldnt have height sensors as well.
I always highly recommend a management system with height sensors as well. I'm not using them, but have a pressure management and only use that to give approximate numbers. After a while, you just get used to what the numbers actually mean. I end up using the 'feel' of the ride as my true height. I know when I'm knocking upper control arms on my fenders... I'm at the perfect height
and for those who are curious. If you want low and tight ride, lock the car up as high as you can go, flip a switch on the tank to get some more PSI and throw a little more air in, then slowly bring the height down and you now get a stiff and low ride
This is speaking for the UAS bag. Not sure if this would work the same way with other setups.
