Help!! Headunit locked
Hey Guys,
This is my first post on the forum ( will do intro soon).
My friend just bought a 2004 GS300, it was imported from England brand new so some differences.
The factory head unit which has the screen which controls radio, gps and climate control has stopped working, it just says something like, take back to Lexus dealer.
It will not allow you to do anything, you can hear the radio play for about 2 seconds when the car starts but thats all.
Long story short, he took it to the Lexus dealer and the dealer said we are not going to touch it because it has been imported.
Any ideas on anyway to fix this. I am from Australia.
Thanks for your time.
Ruben

Hmm, I've pulled my head unit out a few times with ease. What unit is it? Pioneer, Naka, or Mark L? I hope the video helps.

I dont know if taking it out would do anything, it says Lexus have to unlock it but Toyota Australia here is terrible, exact words ' Sorry can't touch it as it is a import.'
Anyone work for Lexus here, that can help me out, holding buttons or a code?
