Welcome.....here's a little more (or really, less) info. Toyota/Lexus has traditionally been one of the mfgrs that has kept a very tight lid on new model information and photos. Little of substance or worth giving credence has surfaced about the nwe GS other than the debut date. There are rumors of AWD (these have some credibility, btw) option and more horsepower (probable, but how and how much?). Finally, there are a couple of photos circulating that purport to be spy photos of the new GS; the consensus is that they are Photoshopped edits of existing models.

So, this is the expanded version of bitkahuna's "No." But it's still pretty much............no.

I'm thinking that even with the redesign I will keep my GS430. To take that leap for another 20k I would need 400 HP and a 6-speed and that's not going to happen.

Are there any "spy" photos besides that one on the hollywoodextra.com?

C'mon Bit - I'm getting tired of wading through these long replies of yours lately!

JDZ25 - Somehow Toyota / Lexus is pretty good at hiding their cars out of spy press camera range. Usually nothing appears until about six months out from release when they are final road testing the new cars on 'real' streets. Those are probably planned, too .

Actually MotorTrend posted their future vehicle forecast and have the GS redesign slated for a 2004 vehicle. I would think that would debut in fall '03, not fall '04. Here's a link:

From what I understand, the new GS redesign is slated for 2005 instead of 2004.

The original plan was the GS was going to be an early release; it will begin selling in spring of 2003. Instead, they pushed back the date inconjunction with the new redesigned IS.

I do hope they carrry through with their AWD plan for both the IS and GS.

Default re-design of GS series

My GM just returned from our Eastern Area Lexus meeting today with news that the new GS will arrive in the Spring of '04 as a '05 model, so just hang in there. My bet is, mid-winter you'll start to see real info in the trade mags.
Just gotta' say, I love this site and all of you for loving Lexus like ya' do!
