Default 02 GS300 Question

My daughter has been telling me her car is sputtering and on the interstate it dropped her from 60 to 40 MPH. No codes are thrown, plugs are less than 10k. All maintenance is up to date. Could it be coil pack going bad or any other thoughts?

Is the check engine light on? If a coil pack was going bad enough that she could feel the misfiring, it would throw a code.

From 60 to 40 is a large enough number for the check engine light to go on. Even if the light is not on it won't hurt for you check for codes anyways. There may be some stored codes incase the light doesn't work.

I am pretty sure this is the start of the Accelerator pedal position sensor going bad. Will replace that first.
