Guys, I'm considering buying my first Lexus, I've always been MB fan. So I need a breath of information on GS300.
Tell me
- Any major problems with the car ?
- when it is redesigned ?
- how much off MSRP I'm expecting ?
- Service ?
- Is it worth the money ?
By the way, I'm going to buy the car in Texas in Jan. So, any dealer reccomendation ? Thanks a lot !

No.

Rumors say new model will be a 2005, launched in 2004.

I don't really know for sure, BUT if you buy one before Jan 6 I bet you'll get a HECK of a deal (near invoice maybe) from a Lexus dealer wanting to get a good year end.
- Service ?
Not sure what the question means, but yes it needs service, and Lexus does not include scheduled maintenance in the price yet I don't think. But basically it's oil changes every 5K plus big services every 30K.

imho lexus has better quality overall and it's more reliable (and you can see that from the jd power and associate reports). for the money it's definitely a good buy as well.
lexus also has some of the best customer service as well, so you will feel very comfortable bringing your car to service. i am not very sure, but i have a feeling that lexus would need less service.
what you think consider of course is what you looking for. if you are also considering the e320, then yes gs300 is what you should compare. but if you are looking at e500 or used e430, then you would think gs300 is a lot slower
