Shift ****
Hey guys, I cant help but notice in the 2gs classified section that the shift ***** are often sought after and/or sold almost instantly if their in good condition. My shift **** for one is very worn as whoever owned the car before me must have rested their hand on it while driving. Has anyone come up with a way to refurbish these or have any ideas about who or where our oem shift ***** can get refurbished? The leather around the top is worn all the way through to the plastic thanks guys.

If you're looking for a replcement shift **** almost any Lexus shift **** will fit our cars. You don't specifically have to search the 2GS classified to find an all leather ****. Many people go with the 2ISknobs wwith the chrome and black. There are also many shift ***** available on eBay. Now if you're looking for a wood shift ****, then these sell a lot quicker and yes you would want to keep browsing the 2GS classified to find a perfect match to your wood or something very close to it.

^ What he said. Search on ebay and you'll find some nice ones. I stumbled upon one that was meant for the 2nd gen IS. It's chrome down the center with a black piano finish on the outside. The fit and feel is really nice and a great compliment to my black chrome shift bezel. My girl loves the look and I even get compliments from those who sit in my car for the first time....

I installed an all wood and chrome 2003 RX shift **** and never looked back. No fading, no cracking.
I would keep away from the wood/leather or chrome/leather lexus shift ***** as the soft lexus leather is prone to fading and cracking. Especially where the leather meets the wood or chrome. Another thing is that the stud lengths are different from GS/IS/SC/RX shift ***** so some slight tweaking has to be done.
For example, my RX shift **** has longer studs than our OEM shift **** so I threw in a couple metal bb's down the shift **** to shorter the stud length and now it tightens down perfectly.
