Thanks for the info Sevenevez. Its going to be a while before I mess with it. I tore my Achilles tendon Friday coaching basketball.I was looking forward to getting in the garage this weekend and working on it. This blows!

Hey guys. I just bought a tte lip off of Ebay for..around 130.00 and it doesn't fit. Its to short width wise
doesn't matter what side you install first the other side won't rap around the opposite side lower bumper.
Has anyone had this problem? Its supposed to be a direct fitment!

Pretty off, thats how mine looked like when I first got it.
It was a pain in the ***, after countless times of heat gun and forcing the bumper to sit in the gap of the lip. I zip tied taped and then left it out in the sun to let it mold. After that it fit on like a glove.

After some heat, some small sanding of the edges and adding in a 1/8 piece of flat spacer where the kit is supposed to screw into the wheel arch to pull it back onto the bumper, I must say it fits 98% perfect.
Fact is it will distort out of the box because it is not going to be flat during shipping so you need to get some heat on it and reshape. And I also did not totally cut out the mounting tabs, just trimmed them down a bit

A little advice....you can heat it on the car as well, just put some aluminum foil to cover the surrounding painted area

I wonder how many of you running on bobo tires and eBay lugs, putting aftermarket oil filters instead of an OEM one. who's buying wal-mart brand items instead of original Johnson and Johnson's?
as much as you're complaining about a fake lip...you're just as guilty, it's probably just not in car parts
