Default GS4 Tire Opinions

Feedback from the forum on a great set of tires for this car. No winter driving 16" wheels and outside temps anywhere from 40-90 depending on season would like a great combination or handling wet and dry traction and wear. Don't want a set of 20k tires guys. Thanks in advance.

go to tire rack and see what fit's your budget and read. you should be able to find something you like. it's not need of us recommending tires that may not be in your price range.

I checked tire rack and to me it is confusing. One guy loves em the next doesn't. $600 installed is fair to me. I had a new set of Kumho Ecsta on my 02 Q45 that I really liked. Not sure what series. I sold the car to soon to know mileage on them.

Another Infiniti guy. I had a Q45 too, but the tornado destroyed it. So I moved to this car. You will get conflicting info on this site too. I plan on putting the kumho ecsta ats on my car some time this summer. With $600 installed, I would look for another Kumho series tire. My sister had the Kumho Solus k21 i think and it lasted a LONG time. This was a 70k mile tire. Works in the south, but I don't think that hard compound will work well up north. I don't know if you heard of the Nexen tire, but it is a well made tire that will serve you well. I think they have multiple 16" offerings.

I think they were the Solus that rings a bell. I hate to say but the Q45 was a beast. Even admit the powertrain I probably liked more than he GS4. But there were to many electronics to potentially go wrong and I sold it to buy a 91' Syclone which is also gone now. So the Ats are expensive hey? I will certainly look into the second tire brand you recommended. Hanks for the help.

Michelin Primacy for a summer tire or Michelin Pilot MXM4 for all season.

The Q45 is a lovely car. You are right the 02-04's did have some electrical issues with the ballast and other things, but if you were able to get your hands on the 05-06 model, you had a gem because they cleaned up all the issues by then. Since you are familiar with the Q's, I tried to get myself a limited 06 Q45s, but could never find it. Those models are very rare because a lot wasn't made. It's almost similar to the 03 GS SD in saddle. Rare seats.

To keep on track, yeah look at the tires I recommended. You should find you a good set with you price range.

Some lower budget tires include Achilles ATR Sports as well as their "2233" line. Cheap, good tread wear rating, and have been relatively quiet for me. Not to mention, they stretch extremely well.

Seems like op wants stock tires. Not stretched or anything low profile.

Falken and michelin have been nothing but good to me. Since I jumped up to low profile stretched tires I just run Achilles

Agreed. For anything of the ordinary, as stated, falken have been good to me personally. Including Hankook Ventus, preferably the V12's. Nexens have been good for me as well, and potenzas by Bridgestone have been a +1. Check them out!

I remember when I first started looking for a set of tires, I ran arcoss this brand for $320 mounted and balanced in 235/45/17. I passed because I didn't know anything about this tire. Is it comparable to Nexen N3000?

Thanks for all the replys guys I have some options now. The tires I have on them now some Sumitomo crap with 4/32nds left. God forget about even acceletating when wet on these. Grip and handling are important since I don't want the rear to break out uf I get n the gas from a roll when wet. I want to be able to use the cars power and have some fun have it stick, but not get only a couple summers out of them, when I'm not in the 300.
