Default Aristo single turbo dynoed!

Tuning complete (apart from a slightly screwy off idle stutter which Soichi is looking into)

384kw (515hp) @ wheels (401kw (538hp) using SAE correction) at 1.4bar, full boost at under 3500rpm

Excuse the quality - the good camera's SD card was full and didnt have time to delete stuff!

Dyno plots:

The red line is at 1.2bar, the green line is at 1.4bar - ignore the later curve and crazy loop on the green line - they had to back off at torque peak as it kept overloading the dyno and throwing up a big red shutdown message - was run in 2nd gear.

Doing some rough calcs and estimating auto trans loss at 17% that equates to 840Nm (620 ft lb) of torque at 3300rpm and 450kW (603bhp) at 6450RPM

Hmm don't be so quick to write off the trans, remember the A340E is a lot stronger as standard than the A650E, there are a reasonable amount of Aristos and Supras making similar power on the stock trans and it is still holding up after reasonable mileage.

Great results and sounds awesome. Are there any upgrades possible to the stock tranny?

Plenty - uprated clutch disks, machined valve body for less slip between shifts, uprated first gear one way sprag to stop it from rolling over etc.

Niiice!!!
The tranny will be gone in no time...you should upgrade it before something happens.
Just my 2 cents though

I can't wait to see how much I put down at 14psi with all the mods I have. Hoping to get about 450hp.

Shouldn't the transmission be run in 3rd (direct drive thru transmission) to find out what the hp/torque numbers are? An engine dyno has no gear reduction. In second gear you will have torque multiplication through gear reduction and this may inflate the numbers a tad. Also, being in 2nd, the planetary gears and additional hubs/drums/ect it takes to manipulate gear reduction will eat up hp. Your numbers may show reduced in 3rd, but would be more accurate due to less losses through the transmission.

I do see ratio and delta (possibly inertia, kgm2?) involved so the gear ratio may have been accommodated for. Still seems like more hp would be achievable in 3rd since its a straight shot through the transmission with only torque converter losses.
