Default Hesitation when I gunned it

today i was making a left turn at an intersetion with no traffic lights. when i make it over, there's a freakin car that appears out of no where, looking like it's gonna rear end me. so i slam on the gas and the car roars, but it takes like around a second before the car actually starts to pull up to speed really quick. feels as though the car hesitated. i heard this could be caused by the VSC kickin in to prevent me from spinning out?

Likely VSC. You powered it, rears started spinning and the computer hits the rear brakes and shut down the power for a second.

Question for the group- does VSC retard the timing, cut the fuel, or cut the ignition to stop the engine?? Or what?

...sorry guys. VSC, drive-by wire in the intake manifold, the mushy valve body in the transmission all go hand in hand in his LUXURY car. Turning off the VSC will help a little bit.

i Dont think its taht...if you dont push your car often, it will likely hesitate to down shift...I almost always use Eshift.

It's not a hesitation to downshift- the car was at a dead stop! Especially if it "roared" it's clear that there was a rapid rise in rpm's, not consistent with a slow-downshift. My 430 peels out all the time when I punch it from a stop, and the VSC kicks in right away. If I turn it off, I can peel out for a city block, although it's usually just one side since VSC negates the need for Posi. Too bad!

What do you think, Rominl?

Then its 2 things. The above that you mention is due to one thing. BAD TIRES. Get a set of good sticky tires...now if you are in a wintery state, this cant happen until spring..otherwise, if you dont want the spinning to happen you have to spring for SO3's or pilot sports.
My car with pilot sports will chirp the tires...none of this spinning for a block nonsense.

On a non-related lag issue, the TC, as someone else pointed, will help in lessening it. First get some tires.
