Ok thanks! I llike that dash layout so much better with the climate control being not part of the navi so I am trying to figure this all out in order to switch to a set up like that so I can run my aftermarket head unit.

So was my shift **** also from the es as well since your pic shows a leather wrapped one and mine is black wood?

Yes, your shift **** is also from the ES. The one the car originally came with should look like this:

You can switch out the ML setup to the standard climate control. Whoever posted you can't is misinformed. Plugs right in.

Great info to know! I figured it did but had no confirmation on this and Thomasgs4 thank you for the pics it was a big help because I was going crazy trying to figure out why mine were missing and was even 95% sure that it was stock as it looked like it should have been there from the factory.
It was easy to confuse on my behalf.

I said I was new to the gs so not asking to spoon feed me just a point in the right direction would be nice is all I am saying.
I understand you are new, that's why I became upset when you stated that I was completely wrong when all I was doing was providing you correct information concerning your steering wheel, ****, and gear shifter cluster. Look at every other post after mine, they are confirming what I initally said.

This response would've gotten much farther with me vs. your initial response. I decided to post two link that will start you in the right direction for your ML question. You can PM a few members to get extra info or continue searching to find exactly what you want. You can take off from this point... Can't say that I didn't help you out either...

I am not a newb just new to the gs platform also I never said you were wrong but the stuff looked so stock that I was in my mind I was 95% sure it was oem and pics posted here and people telling me what exact car it was from helped prove otherwise.

I am not the type that is too proud to learn something new and I have a lot to offer to this section of the forum because I almost always have something going on with my gs on a daily basis plus have an up coming motor and trans build that I plan to share as well to help others in the future,

So you got a nice ride. Are you going to switch it back or drive it as is?
