Hey i was thinking of removing my lower grill and shaving off the tabs..maybe doing a grill insert or leaving it open like this..

That is a local car from my city, one of the craziest GS builds worldwide imo.
If you go this route, I would suggest reinforcing the bottom lip section from the back. It would be really easy to do with fiberglass, big auto stores will sell a $20 bondo kit that would do the job.
Personally I think it is a cool idea but I wouldn't leave it gaping open unless you have a FMIC like that.
