megan carbon roof spoiler fitment sucks?
Hey guys, i ordered the megan CF roof spoiler. The only part that seems to actually touch the car are the outer 4" on either side. The whole middle part wants to raise up 1/3" and not touch the car.
Is it supposed to fit like that? It feels like it might fly off at high speeds. I do a lot of freeway driving with heavy traffic and i don't want it flying into someone's windshield.
I can push it down in the middle but even with 2 strips of the 3m tape it just doesn't want to stay down, it feels like it's going to crack also.
So, thumbs down for megan roof spoiler? is it safe to just put 3m tape on the outer 4" sections?
Edit I solved this problem with a heat gun as suggested. It worked perfectly and mated up 100% to the car. Thanks to all who suggested. I forgot to edit this thread at the time. I would recommend this part but be ready to reshape it a little bit, don't worry it's very easy

I tried to take one but it didn't really photograph well in my carport. basically the middle section refuses to touch the glass/window lip.
I might try a poly adhesive to the window tomorrow...Does anyone else have this megan spoiler? Do you guys think it's stupid to take it to a body shop to see if they could stick on properly?

DONT DO IT!!! you will get jacked like i did. i had a three piece junction produce spoiler and a junction produce roof spoiler. bastards stole both while my car was in the driveway. I SAY NO TO 3M!!!

I'm going to try to sand it down a bit on the sides so that more of it mates up to the roof. If anyone in the future reads this thread from a search, I do not recommend the megan roof spoiler, due to the poor fitment. The weave itself looks pretty decent, but the clear needs a polish/buffing.

ok guys, here are some pics if anyone is considering bying this item, or searches this thread in the future:
if the pics are too big just ctrl+ scroll your mouse
This time i enlisted a friend to help me push it down, we stood on stools and pushed all our weight on it and after about 2 minutes it just popped right up again. This is using the 3m tape. So on the final attempt i decided to just let it sit how it wants to sit.
Maybe they designed it this way for mad airflow bro. or mine is just poorly formed/defective.
I tried sanding it down but it seemed pretty futile, there is like a 6mm gap in the middle
This is what i'm worried about, these are the only parts i can actually put the tape without having it visible and/orr totally ineffective. Trust me this is the maximum surface area i could do, this is the fourth attempt. Do you guys think it will fly off at freeway speeds?
Showing the weave, no visible air bubbles, clear coat needed a bit of buffing though before install...Any little flecks you see are dust
side view, it looks pretty decent
From above
Overall i think it looks pretty cool, like it was designed to flow air underneath, even though i'm 99% sure it just has terrible fitment...
