E-shift wheel on 99 GS3
I just bought a e-shift wheel from a 2002 GS3 to replace my bland 99 wheel. Unfortunately the dude didn't ship me the airbag cover for some reason, as i was going to swap out the dual stage airbag for my single stage on my current wheel.
Anyway, I was wondering if there is a way to actually make use of the e-shift buttons on the wheel and hook them up, or will they only be able to do nothing?
Here's a pic
I think I'll have to do some restoration on the leather too.

Nope, As far as I know 99-00 don't come with e-shift.
I've seen post about people retrofitting IS e-shift paddles to non e-shift GS's. Thinking it cant be too different.

Non e-shift GS3 with IS e-shift paddles wired directly to the ECU. Wiring logic can't be too different could it?
Nah, i'm definitely keeping it. Sorry

Just a quick update.
I re-dyed the leather on the wheel. Not an exact match but close enough for me.
I also couldn't find any info on wiring the e-shift buttons but I'm sure they can be done somehow.
I also got a wood trim ashtray from the same car the wheel came from. It's amazing how a little more touch of wood grain can change the interior of a car.

Yeah I got the air bag from the same car (2001) as the wheel. It was plug and play as well which was weird, because 01+ are supposed to be dual stage bags, but this one was single stage, meaning I didn't have to switch the explosive unit.
