car stutters going reverse

When i shift my Automatic Gs300 99 to reverse the car stutters/sputters while moving. On drive everything is ok. ECU checks normal with no codes. What could be causing this. Please help.

shift solenoid? but you said no codes and only in reverse.

last time you did tranny fluid change?

I just purchased the car two days ago, don't know or think the owner did a tranny flush before. the car slightly jumps when going reverse.
