Totaled or not ? ?
Well I had a unfortunate labor day weekend. Came back to my car after going out and saw that it was hit . some idiot hit 3 parked vehicles.
Anyhow I'm looking at the damage and wondering if insurance will total it. What do you think ?
The reinforcement seems to be pushed in and needs to get pulled I'm sure. Trunk, lights rear bumper all need to be replaced.
This is a 1998 vehicle here so the value of the damage in comparison might cause them to write it off. What do you all think ?

Ok i'm break it down for you if the adjuster you get is a car enthusiast you might get lucky.
They are going to look at the condition of the car, the paint, interior, the miles even the tire tread and if the car is clean they will cut you a check. Now here is the bad part the damage you have will cost about 6k if an adjuster does the write up. You can total it out get a check and buy it back but then the repairs are on you. Hope this helps but thats alot of damage.

Yeah the insurance company will look at present market value vs replacement cost. Do you have pics of underneath behind the rear bumper? I would also lift the carpet in the trunk and look there to see if there is damage and how much.
If it requires pulling, replacing and painting that's going to be a big bill for a 98. They may just pay you out.

depends how you look at it, if it was just the trunk and rear bumper affected by this, then i would just find a high priced shop to quote you and go to a reputable local shop that you know will do it for half the price and pocket the rest for some 20x10/12 orden wheels lol. same is MINOR quarter panel damage and i do mean minimal with just a hammer. but if the inside of the trunk is bent in, i would consider that total. in the end, if you take it to a high priced shop and the outcome comes out to more than what your car is worth then, i'd total it and restart with a ferrari. oops, i meant another GS. hope it all works out and sorry to hear what happened. that's why i stay home on holidays with a red beam pointing out my window at night and a cup of folgers!

If the quarter panels are fine, I think you might be ok. The damage looks like its worse than it really is from the pics. If it does end up being a total loss, just buy it back. You should have more than enough money from the insurance to buy back, fix it, and have some extra pocket $. Good luck

whats the milege on the car, is there any scratches or anything that would be need to be done to the qps, besides blending.
In my opinion I think its a total an easy fix though if you buy it back from the insurance company. But the value on the car is not high anymore.

Sorry guys I've been so busy at work.... Just got a chance to see the car and open the trunk in day light...
Car is a 98. No quarter panel damage.
The spare tire well is crumpled. But looks like the support behind the bumper is in tact.
Car I'd pretty decent over all aside from a few slight door dings from parking in parking lots.
