Default '06 IS350 Front and Rear Bumper to '01 GS430 Bumper Conversion

Hi y'all! I'm not sure if this post goes here, so please excuse my ignorance in that regard.

My question is; does anyone know the sizes and measurement specs for an IS350 front and rear bumper; and also, the measurement specs for the '01 GS430 front and rear bumpers? I was thinking of doing bumper custom conversions for my '01 GS430 and was going to go with a pair of Mercedes-Benz E350 with the AMG Package bumpers and mold those to the pair of stock bumpers on my '01 GS430. But, I also thought about doing the same with these '06 IS350 bumpers.

Any suggestions?

Default Side View Mirror Turn Signals!

Hey man! Your setup looks so dope. I have been looking for the side view mirror with turn signals for my 98 gs300 on them for years now and can not find them anywhere! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you get yours? Did you make them? I would buy them from you if so. Thanks

Those AMG bumpers really do look amazing on the GS. I think they would look a lot better than the IS ones from looking at pictures of both. Either way, awesome work dude.

Those pictures are just photoshopped. But it is possible to graft bumpers from one vehicle, onto another. You just need to figure out a plan, keep the outline from your original bumpers, and cut out the rest. So you need just take both bumpers and a die grinder, figure where you need to cut and then once you have made the cut, you can use plastic welding or maybe fiberglass to graft the two together. You could probably graft any bumper onto vehicle if you want to put in the work. The trick to doing it right is to find a bumper that is as close to your original as possible, not just the width, but the shape and form of the 2 bumpers. And this is really the trick, ideally you want to have both of them side by side so you can really figure out if they are similar enough to work. You want to make sure the new bumper is going to fit well on the car, like with the reinforcements etc. this is really something that takes skill and talent, but when done right, it can make your car look really special. This is what building a custom vehicle is about

It's not photoshopped, that's a real car.

You’re right, the first photos I saw looked pretty stylish, this 3rd picture is clearly a car in the wild. You can see how it was done. It looks the Lexus bumpers were cut on the chrome molding, so the top section still lines up nicely with the car, while the lower section is all MB, using that chrome molding would make it much easier to conceal the seam. The rear bumper looks like it must have been a lot harder to build, but it sure looks good! Especially on the sides, how the side skirts tie both bumpers together nicely. It would probably not be too difficult to do something like this, if you pick a vehicle that is about the same size. And you’re familiar with plastic welding. Doing the same thing with metal, like adding the Mercedes fenders or something would involve a lot more skill. I wonder how a set of IS-F bumpers would work? This is something you would need to yourself, so you can keep the costs down, otherwise you could probably spend over $15,000 having a shop build a custom body kit. This is something West Coast Customs or one of those companies specializes in.
