Anyone know why this happens?
Wassup everyone, so I have an 01 GS430 and I've been having an issue that's supposed to be the exhaust manifold gaskets. When the car is cold and you first start it you hear that air leak farting noise that sounds like exhaust leak and after about 15 seconds of warming up it goes away. When you proceed to drive it doesn't happen until the car has warmed up a bit. The car almost feels more responsive when it's cold too like when I press the gas there's less delay. Does anyone know why the sound would start when the engines cold, then go away while driving for the first 5 mins then once the engine is warm it makes the sound everytime u drive up to about 25 mph especially lightly pressing the gas. It's the most annoying sound in the world ruins the sound of the sexy v8. And the shop said its 7 hours labor each side so I wanna see what you guys think

Is there any way to trick the car into thinking its cold so it always drives like that? The noise is SOOO annoying and it's crazy because all the research I do no one has had this issue before so I don't wanna spend $1000 to fix something that isn't even a common issue
