Default Dash Lights - Airbag and Seatbelt

Hey Group,

2001 GS300, 2 issues for resolve and they may be tied together -Electrical?

Airbag sensor has been on for 4 month and I have already tried swapping out 2 cpu's under the console without success, so I have lived with it.

Now, whether my seat belt is buckled or not....it says it's not.

All insight and advise appreciated at this point.

Thanks

I'd get a wiring diagram and troubleshoot it. There's a whole SRS test procedure in the manual. Maybe the connector got cut under the seat?

Any ideas or screen shots of the potential connector culprit?

Thanks

If the Airbag light is on there should be a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) stored in the vehicles computer. Whatever problem it is detecting is still there. That is why the second computer kept the light on. You should have the airbag system scanned for the code. This will give you a better idea of where to start. You can report back here with airbag DTC for more help if needed.

I'd look under the seat. The airbag and seat power + seat belt latch detection wire all comes through one of 2 connectors under the seat.
