It's a shame they discontinued Spectra Blue Mica. They brought out a an awful Dark, Dark blue color for 2001 and since they realized it was such a bad color they added Blue Marlin Pearl as another option. I had a Spectra Blue and when I sold it I re-ordered a GS for 2002 and they told me that the only blue they had was this new blue so I took it. I may as well have gotten black. Look at the pix, you'd never know the newer GS was blue. Ever =(.

my observation has been that over the last 5 or so years, silver is the color of choice among the celebrity crowd and buyers of luxury cars in general in the los angeles area.

I got the Blue Marlin Pearl and love it. I see a lot of GS cars around but never one like mine. It looks really good (my choice anyway). FOund it on the lot and bought it over a black one. Black is nicer on a caddy or the LS as opposed to the GS. I'll try to get a picture up here.

I have always owned cars with a color other than black. Until the GS, I had a white 96 LS400. Dark colors show dirt much easily. My wife has a black RX but it's not probably the best color for the RX.
But the GS shape is best in black. Dust problem associated with black is easily forgotten once you have a shiny black GS. The California duster of course helps, too!!!

On my dads GS I am the mantience man of it...I wash, wash, polish and do interior work. I wash my his Black GS as twice as much as I wash my silver 4Runner.
Even tho its a pain to keep clean, black is still the best color for it!!
But it does show dirt and everything else much more.
