i have a 03 gs300.
-moderate buzzing sound (like phone vibrating)
-noise coming from either the dash or by the radio
-usually occurs when the climate is warm
-occurs at random times, usually at start ups
-no CEL, ABS, VSC lights
has anyone know what this is or had any past experience with this noise
please and thank you

Your brake booster isn't bad, nor is it cheap to replace, foes the brake pedal feel normal ? it's what they sound like on startup for a few seconds, it's engaging... OR it's your servo motors that sound like a little mouse in the dash, brake booster sounds like a 4-5 second little buzz engaging then stops...

When the servos go bad, when you try to switch your vents from say feet to just the top vents for example, no air will come out from one of the vents. The other servo controls the temperature coming out from the vents. Look up the DIY thread by Sakataj. It says everything you'll need to know on these.

does it sound like its mechanically engaged? as if its supposed to do it? Is it the same noise as if say you put your key into ignition, turn it to the position right before it starts the motor, and youll hear a buzz noise for a few seconds, sometimes goes off, then a few seconds later starts again? thats what hes referring to when he mentions brake booster type noise... now if it sounds like a rattling, as if there are leaves stuck in your vent? or a mild boiling type noise?

to all,
it was the servo motor. all i did was jab a screwdriver in the hole. i guess i unjammed it. all the temp and controls seems to be functioning and a week of driving i hear no noise whatsoever!
