Default First gen Jdm 2jzgte aristo into usdm 2000 gs 300

So I'm looking to figure out what parts I need besides the motor, I've looked and found a 2jzgte engine that comes with everything such as ecu, and engine harness, what else do I need? My buddy in Audi tech mentioned I need a peice connecting the exhaust to an intercooler? Any advice or a link to a thread would be great

the motor with everything costs about 1800, what other costs will I need? And I plan to swap the engine in the Audi dealership

You're better off getting the VVTi GTE motor to swap in. More of the stuff will line up. If you use the non-vvti motor then you will need to make some custom motor mounts. There's also quite a few things different about the non-vvti one that will involve much more extensive wiring and such.

It doesn't sound like you're terribly knowledgable about the mechanics of such a swap - or the car and drivetrain you're looking to swap. (It would be **second** gen Aristo, not first).

You're probably better off just having the shop do all the research for you. If you do want the info for yourself, it's been documented plenty. Do some searching of the forums before you start a new thread. This info already exists.

Good luck!

Sorry. I didn't mean that to be rude or harsh. Just trying to help.

You should do what I did and just find someone you really trust who knows what they're doing. Drop your car off and then pick it up when it's done. It costs a bit more money but it's way easier on your knuckle skin and stress level!

well I researched, i found an engine that comes with an aristo driveshaft for 1800...
ive read around and i need an intercooler and diff, hopefully the MAF comes with the engine, but my last question is where can i get an exhaust or do i need a custom one?

and my parts ring up to about 3770 without an exhaust, so i just wonder what install will cost...

and is there anything i might be missing? i know i need a fuel pump and resender or something?
and last the downpipe custom made for the new engine

It should cost you around $7k to $8k all-in, including parts and labor. If the shop you're taking it to knows what they're doing, you don't need to worry about the parts list. They'll tell you what to get or, better yet, they'll procure it for you.

I was hoping it might be a little less, but I asked for a quote yesterday so we will see what they say

i found a shop that would do the labor for 2100.. that is if i have all the parts, i found an intercooler on ebay for 300 and the guy in the shop said it would work, my last question is i know i need the fuel sender and return line, but do i need an aristo differential?

You don't need the differential, but the gear ratios are slightly different.
