Default Cold Squeal

Hey guys. So I have had this problem for a while now (a few years) but the extreme bitter cold has amplified it to the point that I can no longer ignore it. When I start my car I get a very loud squealing sound coming from the engine bay. This squealing lasts until my car has warmed up (can last for several minutes). The tempo of the noise increases with the speed of the engine. I just went to Midas yesterday and they thought it might be the belt slipping and sprayed something on it. I doubted that that approach would work so I was not surprised when the noise presented itself again this morning. Any ideas on this issue? I'll take a video when I have time but this is pretty obnoxious. It has gotten to the point that I am embarrassed to leave work because everyone in the parking lot can here my car squealing.

serpentine belt. happens to many of my cars when cold. I just rev it up to heat up the belt. It squeals less that way.

You can change that belt out yourself if you're handy. Takes about 15 minutes. I used a Goodyear Gatorback when I ran into this problem. Just make sure when you put the new one on, start it from the top while you work the tensioner and then work it around the pulleys at the bottom.

I agree with starting off changing the belt. Might also be the tensioner.

Nevermind guys. It was a pain but I was able to find the part numbers. Here is what I bought:
166200W101 - TENSIONER ASSEMBLY, V-RIBBED BELT (Tensioner Pulley)
166040F010 - PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY, IDLER, NO.2 (Idler Pulley)
9091602586 - Drive Belt

I found these parts at the following pages...
