Unhappy GS 300 headlights Bulb

Hi folks,

recently I have noticed that my 2000 GS 300 passenger headlight acting crazy and turning dark pink and dark amberish colors...and now its just dead.

I called dealership the bulb itself is $250 CAD + tax....I have found a few websites that sell bulbs for this model...but I need help finding the right color, I don't want dark purplish color...I want the stock color which is bright white don't know the color temp either 9000k 4000k or something else...I might as well change both sides for color match.

Can somebody guide me the right color and a good tested website for this part please?

NOTE: The high beam light is OK (the middle ones beside the grills) , its just the white HID that went bad, the one that gets ON when putting the light stick to AUTO.

any help would be appreciated before cops pull me over on this

I'd recommend 5000K Morimoto 3Five 35W D2R. Or you can go with the stock 4300K.

if you want the stock color, just get the stock replacement.

Read this thread (which was in the sticky) and pick up a pair of genuine philips d2r bulb. Especially the tips near the end of the thread.

you can buy on ebay or other resellers, but don't be stingy and buy the cheapest bulbs and end up with fake bulbs that go bad on you. Pay a little more and get a genuine bulb.

I have basically the same bulbs but mine are D2S due to my retrofit headlights (projectors).

I wouldn't buy Philips bulbs from eBay because depending on the price most of them are propably fake.
Just go with the Morimoto 3Five's. Best bang for buck imo.

Excellent choice. I currently have DDMs 6000k lows and am thinking about going with a 55W 5000k or even 4000k for my next set. The set I currently have show more blue than white, and it's not a hint.

I found 2 Philips bulbs on Amazon for $70 USD a while back. I much prefer the OEM color, they have the most light (usable light....), and easist on the eyes at night or in bad weather.

Hi all...thank you everyone for sharing ideas for this....I replaced them last night...and they are looking fabulous!...one last thing I want to do is to change the color of the center ones as well from yellow to a little whitish color (42000k or 5000k)...

The light I am talking here are the ones close to grills, the regular city lights (not headlights, the smaller circle ones), if you own a GS 300 2000 you know what lights am talking about...

please tell me what is the size and kbcarstuff model so that I may order them as well.

thanks in advance!

Always replace these in pairs... I bought some Philips Ultinons from CL Vendor on here... legit product legit output... expensive though.

Many folks have been happy with the Morimoto line as well. Give one of the Vendors here a shot... at least you know they'll need to stand by their product or they'll get that azz handed to them by the community.

edit lol i got futher down and saw u handled it already. Just buy the same temp driving lights to match they don't need to be HID but color may not match 100% prob like 88% but it would be better than the current match. I replaced mine with LEDs there.

naw bro no links but they are all over ebay. just take one out and go down to ur local auto tuner/rim/maybe stereo shop they'll have plenty or hit up ebay. shouldn't cost more than $10 for both on ebay and prob $20 locally for the leds. They are also at pepboys and autozone but I haven't bought leds from them.

i'll throw in 2cents to try to help. I think you guys are talking about the driving/parking lights. but i can't really understand the posts. If you used standard english, it would have been easier to understand.

What you want to look for is for polarg m4s. Search for that term in the forum for threads and pictures.
