Default TTE Lip fitting

I just received my TTE lip and have to get it sanded and 3 stage painted Pearl white now. I pre-fitted it to my front bumper and it looks like it not exactly a 100% perfect fit but VERY close.
The material is high quality plastic Urethane.
Here's the question: in order to shape / mold the lip to perfect fit - is it safe to put it under a heat gun??
Are there any other methods other then removing my whole front bumper...... ????

Thanks !

Heat gunning it will let it reform to its original shape. I got a copy in urethane and I heat gunned it a bit and it fit perfect.

Here's another install (mine). I have the replica and it needed a good deal of heat-gun action to form it into shape. Don't fear the heat. It works well.

What the !! You sprayed it yourself !! That's awesome! Since your 2GS is black it prob didn't make a huge difference. Mine is Pearl white.
I might just spray paint this sucker myself if I can find the right spray can.
Thanks, really appreciate it. Hope it comes out alright.

I painted my kit with paint from automotivetouchup.com. Mine is black though, a lot easier to match than a pearl. If you do it yourself; good prep, quality paint and wetsanding are key.
