Default Looking for a rebuilt VVT-i pulley...

Hi new guy here!

I need to get a VVT-i pulley for my 2001 GS300. As of right now I do not have the tools/resources/time required to rebuild it myself and it's leaking like a sieve. I had hoped to purchase one off of JeffTsai as he seems to be very reputable around here but it appears his site is currently sold out of the cross shipping option.

Does anyone else provide this service as a comparable price? I definitely do not want to spend $200 at my local dealership...

Thanks for being awesome here guys! I've kept to lurking until now but I've learned so much about my car, you guys are invaluable

Thanks friend but I believe that is JeffTsai's website and they are currently sold-out.

I was looking for an alternative to that website

$200 isn't bad for a fresh OEM gear. I was quoted $350. If worst came to worst I would buy it. If you have time to replace it, you have time to rebuild it. Up to you. Don't let it get too bad. Some of that oil causes alternator failure.

if it has to come off, why not rebuild it? its held on by 4-5 10mm bolts and jeff has a diy vid on how to do it. trust me when i tell you he makes it extremely easy to do.

Ok I understand he makes it easy but I still need a way to get the pulley off to begin with. As I stated I do not have the tools to do this and I am bringing it to a shop to get fixed. I only hoped to avoid shop prices for a brand new pulley by supplying my own. Sorry if I havent been clear

Just get a brand new one. The original one lasted 13 years. It's time.

I have a method I do of my own as well that assures that puppy won't leak again. Maybe 200k miles later lol but it's solid work.
A new one from dealer is around $150-170 not necessary...

Definitely not buying a new one and thanks but I think I found a shop that can rebuild it for me cheap enough. If it comes down to it I'll buy a used one and fix it myself. I can't have my car out of commission that long haha
