Well the time has come. After working for a Lexus dealer for close to two years, I finally picked one up. I grabbed up this Burnished Gold 1999 GS 300, one owner, all dealer maintenance performed, 85,000 miles. *Big Pic Warning*

Sorry for the bad lighting. I'm technically at work, and didn't want to pull it up on the delivery ramp for pictures. I'll get some better ones when I get it home. For now she is 100% stock, and I have to keep her that way for a bit (Wife's orders...). She will be getting some tint in the next week or two.

I got a bargain deal on a 1999 GS400 that I couldn't pass up. The car needs work but is restorable to its rightful glory.

1. Exterior color: Gold
2. Interior color: Tan
3. Major Options or special packages (Sport Design, etc) : Not sure, new to the Lexus world
4. Audio Options (Nakamich/Mark Levinson or Pioneer): Looks to have the stock tape/changer setup
5. Any modifications: Came with the K&N Filtercharger kit, tube, heat shield and everything
6. Anything you want to mention (others considered, previous Lex owner, etc): I have owned Honda, Mitsubishi, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac....this car is a beast even in its rough mechanical state.
7. If you are INTERNATIONAL, state which city/country your representing!: Not international, but representing San Antonio, TX
8. Post pics or links to your car (you can upload pics in our gallery) : Pics below

Hi All,

My names Greg and I live in Okinawa, Japan for the last 10 years. I've been the owner of this JZS161 Aristo since Oct last year, so I have a few more plans in the works that will need financing. It was stock when I picked it up with 100,000K on her. I've since installed a Cusco Strut Tower Bar, Blitz Panel Air Filter and Rays Homura 19X8-1/2 fronts 19X9-1/2 rears wearing Yokohama Advan 550V db tires 245/35 front and 275/30 rear.
Future plans are Coil Overs to bring it down a tad, Tom's CPU and upgrade the ceramic turbos. Not sure if I'll stick with twins or opt for a bigger single? Here are a few pics.

Default New GS300 owner

Hey everyone, my names Jordan from New Zealand, new to the Lexus game pick up my self a 2000 GS300 for cheap in good condition, same owner for the last 11 years full service history and all original owners manuals.

Color is gold not sure on what Lexus calls it, interior is tan not to sure on sound setup yet still factory.
has done a few ks( miles in your guys words) but with full service history and all major stuff done i wasn't going to let it up for the price. over here these cars go for around 5500+ and i got it for 3000.

Plans are not to extreme yet have a couple of other cars on the go so i will finish them first but suspension and wheels will be first and then most likely a GTE swap but wont go to far with it as its the family car haha.

look forward to seeing all the mint GS's on here.

I picked up my GS400 on new years, bought it from my dad. It's got to be one of the best cars I've owned so far. I havent done much to it, I have replaced some parts for normal worn out parts. I do have cusco sway bars on the way then I plan on adding a Tanabe exhaust whenever I have the money and maybe some wheels later on. Here's some info on it.

1. Exterior Color: black
2. Interior color choice:tan/brown
4. Audio Options touch screen/nav
5. Mods: Muffler delete, Eibach springs with L-tuned struts, Custom front subframe brace.
179xxx Miles

I'm stationed at Cannon AFB in New Mexico.

Background on me I'm new to Lexus but not to Toyota. I built a 1UZ Cressida, I had a 7mge MK3 Supra as a drift missile, also had a 77 Celica that I traded for my current truck which is a 76 Hilux that I'm restomodding. I put some pics on the bottom of my post.

Default First Post, Intro

Hello gentlemen, my name is Keith and I am the proud new owner of a 2000 GS400. Black exterior, tan interior, with just under 200k miles and stocky-stock. This is my first Lexus and my third Toyota made vehicle. This will be my daily driver for my 70 mile round trip drive to my IT job every day. I like to do what I call "spirited street driving." I drove the car about 250 miles today (bought it today) all freeway and I found a few things I'll need to address soon, and I look forward to lurking the forums for info and occasionally showing you all the progress I've made! Unfortunately, I spent the whole day driving her and haven't had a chance to take photos, so I only have the dealer photos:

Hello all,

I'm new to the Lexus family but definitely not to the modifying car game. I have a Onyx black 2003 GS300 with a 2jzgte vvti swap. Has simple bolt ons (fmic, intake, exhaust, walboro fuel pump). So far, I love the car and will slowly work on fixing all the little kinks/imperfections. I'm from Statesville NC so give a thumbs up if you see me!

Cool

Hello, everyone. I've been on this site lurking and doing my homework constantly for almost a week now. I picked up a 2000 GS300 Platinum Series last week in pretty decent shape. I'm loving those black badges. The car has 143k on it and has very impressive maintenance history from Lexus of Omaha since new. Still, for whatever reason that's beyond me, the car still has the OE timing belt. That said, plans are to immediately do the timing set, water pump, seals, and valve cover gaskets. From there, I want to give it a very thorough tune-up. It's slightly out of alignment, so I'll do ball joints for a safety measure with that. Only other plans are tint the windows and piece together a full stereo system. Oh, and the headlights are starting to fog up and the driving lights are popped. I'd like to replace all those with some nice smoked aftermarket lenses and HID's while I'm at it.

Perhaps when I get a nicer vehicle, I'll look into an Aristo swap or turbo the GE motor. I love the car as it sits for a nice daily, so I'm not exactly begging for more, just yet.

Default 2001 GeeEss300

Bought her in 2004 and I have enjoyed this car ever since. Pearl white with tan interior. All original everything. Just recently within the last 4 years replaced the ball joints, bearings, breaks, spark plugs, wires, gasket valve cover brackets, upper control arms both right and left, new head lights, serpentine belt. When my spark plugs were changed(Spark plug blew out), he checked my timing belt and said it was good no problem.

I am currently in need of front struts and mounts, a bad abs sensor, and my volume control does not work. There is 157k miles so far, hoping to get to 200k.

Hello fellows,
I bought my GS a little over a year ago now.

It's a white '99 GS300
Tan interior
All stock baby! Although those stock blinged out 5 spoke chrome sticker "alloys" might fool the untrained eye.
No plans to modify at all and don't really have any decent pics of the car.

I bought this car after some privileged snot nosed 18yr old in a brand new benz thought he could make a left hand turn without even looking to see if anyone was coming.

Anyway I like light 2door cars that handle but since I live in SoCal theres no such thing as a cheap used 2door light car in decent condition. I ended up buying this car because there were literally no other options in my price range other than crap sedans and econo boxes. I always liked this car and love that it comes with the JZ but its too big for my style.

That being said, i am surprised how well its built and how nice it drives. I would most definitely buy another Lexus in the future but how i miss my little car that I could drive the crap out of.
