Since its a CPO, I'd make sure they take care of every single problem you find or have with the car. That includes the audio (speakers and amp), suspension or wheel balance etc. Don't wait too long, otherwise the dealer may consider it a 'non warranty' item and not fix it under the CPO.

When I got my CPO GS400, the selling dealer took care of all the issues I brought to their attention, including a battery that failed within 9 months, faulty door switch actuators, and removing front window tints. During servicing at another dealer, this dealer took car of the window pinch control messed up by the selling dealer when they removed the window tints and left it sticky inside the window mechanism. All in all, I'm glad I got the CPO as added protection, otherwise, you'd be SOL.

If you still don't get satisfaction, call the 800-Lexus corp. number and complain. That is what they are there for. The CPO isn't a cure-all, do-all - its just more of an extended warranty. Regarding whether the car was in a accident, well, I don't think CPO really address it, unless it was totaled. It's probably up to the dealer whether or not to sell a damaged car, and you, armed with CARFAX.

Sorry to hear all your problems. In fact, I'd sit down and write corp. Lexus all your problems with this dealer. They shouldn't be a Lexus dealer with all the problems and treatment you've got from them.

I have to disagree with the guys that say CPO is BS, perhaps they just dealt with bad dealerships. I brought my CPO 96 GS in 2001, and it has been great. When I got the car, I could tell it had been serviced, it had brand new tires, brakes, etc. Also the paint was immaculate, and the car was detailed. i didnt like the way my front bumper looked, I brought the car back and they had it sprayed.

BTW-i do not have that sticker on my car, but i do have the certificate, as well as the small booklet that tells you what CPO does and does not cover etc.

I thought to qualify to be a CPO, a Lexus had to be under 4 years old and less than 50K miles.
