I've just started to notice that all of a sudden some of the grey dye is coming off on my steering wheel, on the leather portion. Now, I've had the car for almost 2 years, always cleaning and conditioning all of the leather, but I can't believe that suddenly it's starting to peel. Is this at all covered, or will they chalk it up to "wear and tear" ?

 

Funnilly enough, I just noticed a little nick on my wheel, also about 2.5 years old. I thought I had scratched it somehow, but couldn't remember how.

I would assume that this is a regular wear issue that would not be covered, but I could be wrong.
