Looks like it could be saved. I had my left rear corner smashed too but fortunately it got hit just under the tail light so it didn't break that too.

It's the law to have insurance but so many people don't care they get insurance jus to roll off the lot then cut it off smh

Hell ya this is really common in Jersey. In Lakewood it is basically an all Jewish community and literally if you get hit you are screwed cuz none of them have insurance on their cars. Same with a lot of Mexicans by me, they roll around with no registration or insurance.

You guys realize there is not any frame in the rear of this car, right?
That rear quarter can probably be massaged back into shape by a good body man. Obviously needs new tails, decklid and rear bumper cover. Probably needs a new bumper reinforcement bar, too.
If you're lucky, the rear body panel is salvageable. If not, that's going to get totaled out. If you need a new rear body panel you're looking at $3k-$4k in repairs by a shop that does a good job.

Data Pt:
In Ohio, insurance companies have to offer uninsured and also under-insured riders. BUT, for some reason they do NOT have to tell you about them. MOF, I'm in an integrated neighborhood where it changes in less than 1 mile south from me and I also have uninsured motorists medical payments. YMMV.
