Is that the only code you have? The service manual states that the code is produced by an abnormal condition in the ABS system (nothing more specific) and should be accompanied by some other fault.

yes its accompanied by a right rear speed sensor code.....but i have reason to believe my abs system is on its way out because i am constantly getting a buzzing noise and feedback from my brake pedal when driving. is that a sign my abs is bad? I am not too familiar with the abs system and its components

It's probably just the sensor that's bad. If the sensor is going bad it won't give accurate readings to the ABS computer, which can mislead it into applying ABS to that wheel, hence the buzzing.

thing is i have always had the buzzing. before the abs lights and after when they went away on their own.

I'd still say it's the sensor. Even if it doesn't always trigger a code, the sensor can still give a poor reading and trigger the ABS.

ok thanks....one last thing. is buying a USED brake booster master cylinder assembly a good idea? if it does come to buying that as a solution, a used one is way cheaper then dealership new.

Unless you feel like ponying up the $2k to get a new one, it's about your only option. Used ones should be fine to get, I doubt any legitimate seller is going to try to sell a failed brake booster.
