docrings, I am not sure if this is the side effect or not from not connecting pin 12 (the bigger connector, at the nav computer in the trunk) but my nav update every slowly, maybe you can wait til I have sometime to test it out, or disconnect this wire and see if you get similar effect. My nav update every few minutes, either the nav computer I have is not good, or this is the side effect of disconnect the speed sensor, since the car is not moving, don't need to update the nav too often.

The speed signal run all the way from the nav ECU to the dash, so maybe an override switch is not a bad idea.

If you unplug the larger plug at the nav ECU (in trunk) the connectors are labeled, 1,2...., the wire should be this color (violet/white)


Doc, on another notes, the NAV hard drive is in DOS format, yes, you hear it right, I will study this structure and maybe one day, the Lexus logo on the nav will me my own picture hee hee.

Disconnect pin 12, and tell me what you think. Currently I have full control of the nav, but it update every slowing (ie the screen update)
