(P0136) - Bank 1 Sensor 2 malfunction
Hope this is not p***ing anyone off.
Here is my problem.
I have a GS300 - 1999 and I have a readout on my meter (P0136) and it indicates a Bank 1 Sensor 2 malfunction. Can anyone confirm this is the correct error?
Thank you in advance

Not sure why you would think anyone would be POed. Also not sure why you would doubt your meter's reading. This is a generic code. What makes you think it is not correct? Is your meter not consistent? Did you get a different reading from someplace else?

Sorry for the p.o. comment. I was having an off day, getting some bad advice and generally not in a good mood. Please accept my apology. Generally it's not like me.
Also, I found a comment on this site indicating an error read-out of P0141 for the same problem. After review, I found that the reason was because the previous poster owns a 2000 model (one year after the one I own, hence the difference.

P0136, 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2) and P0141, 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2) are similar codes, but not the same. Here is a list of the OBD II codes.
