Default Got rear-ended on Saturday morning

Hey guys! ... So I got rear ended on Saturday morning, just off of a freeway , my 98 gs4 suffered damages on both ends, back and front! So the insurance company called me today and gave me 2 options. Take my car to one of their ally shop or take it to which ever shop I so choose to repair the damages. Should I pick my own shop or should I take my car to one of theirs. Thanks

Take it to theirs & your shop for an estimate. at least you will have something to compare the numbers with. then, when they cut you the check, take it to whom ever you want

i make it a point to never take my cars to the insurance shops.

they always try to **** you and get you with 3rd party parts.

take it to a reputable shop in your area, insist on OEM parts.

Damn, sorry to hear! Be very firm with the insurance about what you had on your old car, don't let them push you around.
Doneve already covered exactly what you need to do

I always use the shop of MY preference. Mainly its because I know guys who own body shops and I know I'm going to be taken care of.

Man you have a Cinnabar Gs400 too. That sucks even more. Glad you made it ok though.

Totally sucks, but the most important thing is everyone is alright. I have had experiences with both insurance shops and shops I know and trust, always go with a place you know. The insurance shops to not use the same replacement parts and most of the time get used refurbished parts to save money when in all actuality, insurance will pay for new parts. Hope you it gets fixed soon.

Never thought of that! I'll contact the shop I took my car to and have them send me the list of all the part they're using
