Hi guy, here's the problem. I had my cam seal replaced the other day and now my car accelerates very very slowly yet idles prefectly while in neutral. It showing code p1349. They've redone the timing 4 times and all marks line up. We also replaced the vvti solenoid. I will do more reasearch but can help with this issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by "They've redone the timing 4 times". Does that mean you pulled the timing belt off and reinstalled it 4 times or simply looked 4 to see if the marks line up. I recently replaced my TB and crank timing gear. Got the same code. Pulled the belt off and reinstalled again, same results. By this time, I'm pulling my hair out. Then I noticed, the crank timing gear has a couple of marks on it that look like timing marks, but are not. I was lining up to the wrong marks on the crank gear. Who knows why they put extra marks on a gear like that. Nevertheless, check your timing marks very, very closely. Turn the crank over two full turns before you button it back up to make sure the marks stay aligned. Good luck.

If the timing is set correct and the OCV has been replaced you may have an issue with the wiring between the OCV and the ECM.

Was thinking OCV and/or OCV filter as well.

Well I found out what was causing my acceleration problems. I took my to a second shop and they figured out my issue within an hour. The previous shop had dropped my vvti cam gear completely destroying it. It had three teeth smashed in, about 15 deep impressions around the cam bolts, installed incorrectly, and would slide in and out( or back and forth) every time you put it in drive. In addition my timing belt was damaged do to them repeatedly prying it off with a screw driver. Second shop fixed my car in less than a day. In addition they replaced quite a few other components and parts since they already had the engine apart. Now she runs better than the day that I bought her but it wasn't cheap. Whats the lesson I've learned? YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! We've all heard it thousands of times but never matters until you're on the receiving end. From now on I'll just do it right the first time around. Thanks for all of the input guys.

I can't imagine why they would use a screw driver to take the belt off. It comes off easy enough by hand. Maybe you should try it yourself next time. You'll get plenty of help from this forum. On a scale of 1 to 10, with an oil change being a 1 and a 2jz to 2jz-gte engine swap as being a 10, I would rate a TB change as a 4 or 5. Anyway... glad you got it fixed.
