Default Extremely Newb Door lock actuator question. A-hole answers always welcome

Clearly the door lock actuators on my 00 Gs300 are bad on the rear doors. They do not unlock or lock with the button, but work manually.

BUT, my driver door, will not lock at all unless with the key. If I go to manually lock it it just bounces back into the unlock state without any clicks or anything. Is this also a result of door lock actuators? Or do I need to order something else along with the actuators?

Thank you for your time

You don't have to buy the whole actuator if you know how you uninstall the actuator and open it up. There is a video on youtube on how to uninstall them, then you can pry them open, and just buy a new motor for the actuator itself.

I hope that helps you out some, the gear pulling is pretty tough, at least it was for me, had to have a friend help me. Getting to the actuators is pretty easy though, hope this helps!

My doors were like that as well. I changed the motors so they work with the button now but I still can't manually lock it. Never bothered me any.
