Need to get brakes done, any suggestions on pads?
Just wondering if anyone has any preferences on brake pads?
I have a 2002 300 with stock brakes, just wondering if any replacement pads are vastly superior?

For this car, always get new fit kit (brake hardware) with new brakes.
If you go aftermarket it is not that expensive, like $10?
It will remove the clunk you get on first brake as well as when changing from reverse/drive. The clips lose strength over time and produce a little bit of float.
The OEM Brakes are highly chamfered to reduce noise, look at some pics, about 30% of the surface is cut away. They will be nice and quiet and still will outbrake your tires. But will wear relatively quicker and create more dust then other aftermarket offerings that may have 1 squeak when cold and/or a different brake feel. It depends what you are looking for.
I personally am using akebono proacts

I bought my sets front and rear OEM Toyota pads from lexuspartsnow.com at prices way , way lower than Sewell .
If you are one of those that like to brake hard all the time you would also need to replace the pad`s hardware kit and the rotors , otherwise you will be getting increasing vibration every time you use the brakes. If you are like me , conscious of using the brakes as gently as possible , perhaps you would suffice with just the pads.

I only run ceramic...although I've always wanted to try EBC but I was hesitant because of the price cause their not ceramic and I didn't think they would last long, I changed my pads and rotors yesterday only cause of my rear rotors were warping and it's been 2 years and my ceramic pads still had half life left on em, except my front drivers side was angled BAD cause I have a bad piston but I gotta new caliper on the way so...

They don't necessarily have every part in a huge warehouse; they order parts to you via the toyota network..
