I get about 16 in the city and 20-21 on the freeway. My car has 19''s and that requires more gas to turn. lol

I am absolutely fascinated how the GS400's get 20-23 mpg, I had a new 10,000 mile ES300 loaner for 1 month while my IS300 was getting some serious service and the most I could get was 19 and I wasn't stepping on it..

I wouldn't be suprised if the GS400's get 12-15mpg if you're always flooring it, and who knows what the GS430's are getting if you floor it all the time..

My GS430 is getting around 11MPG flooring it, but on the highway around 23MPG. Lead-foot syndrome over here, what can I say?

Lately, I'm luck to get 240 miles out of a full tank on 65% city / 35% highway. Not so happy, since gas is now $2.31 in my area

Default gas mileage

I just came back from a highway trip, 410 miles on 17.67 gallons = 23.2 mpg. All but 25 miles in interstate at 70-77 mph. This is the very same mileage I have recorded before. Mixed driving, still getting about 17. Perfectly satisfied.

Normally 20-24 averaged over long periods according to the GS400 NAV computer.

The highest I averaged was 29.7 over 2 tanks and 900 miles in the very fast rural roads of Nevada and in Death Valley. This also included the fasted speed I drove the car by more than 30 MPH so I was quite surprised.

I just purchased my 99 GS400 recently. I got 24.5MPG on a 400 miles trip. My previous 93 LS400 with 50 less HP was getting about same MPG on the freeway.
