I am new to the gs300. Just bought a 1998 gs300 over the weekend cheap.
Here's my problem, there are no abs no vsc no lights on at all. Every time I come to a complete stop, car makes a weird noise and skids a little but maybe like 1 inch? I dont know what it could be I've tried searching but everything i found was about people having problems with the lights.. I don't have any of the lights at all.
what im trying to say since I had this problem there are no indicator light telling me whats wrong. like no check engine light/abs light/vsc meaning that there is something wrong with the car. if it had a check engine i woulda used an obII to check it but nothing.

I believe the reason he asked was to find out if the bulbs were removed so as to indicate there was no issue with the car. If the bulbs come on at startup and then go off then it most likely isn't electrical. Have you checked the pads and rotors? It could be as simple as needing to bleed the breaks.
Had that problem with my old 98 Gs400. Check all the ABS sensors and make sure the sensor tips are clean. Mine had a lump of grease on one of the sensors.
Sounds like an ABS sensor on its way out that's triggering the ABS as you come to a stop. It's hard to figure out which one is doing it unless it fails completely and sets a code.

Do this ^^.
IIRC a 10mm socket will remove the sensor from the inside of the hub. Make sure it goes in straight on the reinstall...
replaced rotors and pads still same problem. I will take off the abs sensor clean the tips and reinstall em tomorrow hopefully that does it. If not I guess I'll be bringing it to the stealership
