Default Where did you mount your amp?

Getting a new aftermarket amp and can't decide where to mount it.
It's a little bigger than the factory NAK amp in the truck area.
Any ideas/pics would be appreciated.

Iv had mine all over the cars trunk. On the wall of the left side or on the wall on the right side where it pockets. Or in the back against the seats.

IF you have a good enough box just mount it to the side of the box. So that way you have amp and sub tucked away in the trunk. Then take out the rear speaker so the sub can breath and you have even more direct bass to the cabin.

I'd say the only thing in common between the two is the area the amp is located. You need to clean up those wires though...

you shouldn't have your amp drilled in backwards like that. when you're playing it at high volume and it wont cool properly and could fry a lot faster. warmth only travels up (not down) so instead of letting the warm air leave the amp, it is trapping itself on the circuit board of the amp.

I read up a bunch on that potential issue before I chose to do this. That same warning gets repeated a lot but from what I found out it is not as much of an issue in newer amps that are more efficient and don't create as much heat as it was in older technology amps. The amp I chose is not even finned and only has two small louvered openings on the sides and fans that move air thru it. This mounting position is a non-issue.

Plus It has been this way since 2008. Lots of long drives and loud music with zero shut downs.

How much room is left at the top of the box? I just bought a 2005 GS300 and I want to put a box like this in it for 2 or 3 10"s. My amps are about 2 inches high.
