Default NEWBIE to the lexus game....

Hello. I am a proud owner of a 99 gs300. I never had a Lexus before. I always had either Honda or Acura cars. I love the car so far but I just hate the aftermarket 20 inch rims lol I want to shrink them down to either 19's or 18's.. What you the people here think.. NOW the biggest question is the milage... YES it is over 300,000 miles BUT the engine is in Perfect condition. The previous owners took great CARE of the car.. YES I have that "famous" rear squeak hahaha. I ordered the bushings already.. What else would I need to worry about on these cars (main problems)...??

The exterior of that car looks pretty good for having 300,000 miles.

Congratulations on your purchase. Check the ball joints and caster arm bushings and drive it till it drops.

Welcome newbie to CL. Nice ivory pearl white Lexus you got there. Not crazy about them wheels but thats just my opinion. Wishing you good luck and safe driving.

I've had my 2004 GS300 for a year now and after modding it up quite a bit I find that these cars are "to sensitive and delicate". I have never owned a car so touchy as this one. At this point I'm afraid to mod it any more because of the backlash. The symtoms are NO different then what many others 2GS owners have reported in this forum.

With that being said, I am happy that this forum exists because there is a wealth of knowledge and experience herein.

Czr =)
