I'm planning to do similar iPhone integration for my 2001 GS300 as I did in my SC a few years ago. Does anyone have electrical schematic for standard Pioneer audio system (for CD changer, head unit, and amplifier)?
Thanks!
P.S. Here's the photo of my GS that I recently got
Also, I'm trying to find out why my subwoofer is not working. I think I found the subwoofer output (looking at 50 - 300Hz output). Usually they operate in this low frequency range. I might be wrong though - if the subwoofer has its low pass filter mounted in it, the output frequency from the amplifier will be just regular mid range.
This is the output wave from a top pair pins of amplifier connectors.
I just recently added a bluetooth module to my 2000 gs3 and spent quite a bit of time playing with the amplifier pinout.
The black connector on the amp is from the head unit. It includes line in left and line in right (positive and negative), acc, batt, data + and data - and mute.
The orange is from the cd player. Includes line left and right (pos and neg), mute, data etc.
White is your direct lines to the speakers. The subwoofer specifically is on the smaller of the two white connectors. Green black and Green red. I can see them in your picture right above the yellow wire on the upper white connector (right below the orange connector).
When probing the white connectors keep in mind that the bottom wire (looks black yellow in the picture) on the large white connector is +12 constant.
