Getting a New Car
Hi,
I've been gone for a while, but i joined cl when i had my es300. I crashed and totaled the car in early November, but now I will be getting a new car, (used). I'm realy want to get a gs300-400 and I was wondering if you could help me out a little.
I live in the mass area, but am willing to travel to neigboring states in order to look at dealerships. Can you please post any dealerships of which you know of that could give good deals on used lexus?
I'm looking for a gs with the following guidelines:
model 300-400
between 1994-1998
around 100,000 miles
good running condition
around $10k
also trading in an oldsmobile cutlass sierra, 1995 good running condition
Any help for any dealerships that can help me out will be appreciated. Thanks A lot.

Not a dealer, and in the price range year range you are looking chances are slim and none (slim just left town) on getting CPO car. Also most Lex dealers wouldn't keep that type of car in inventory. Much better going via private party than paying a 1-2k markup thru a dealer. My 2 cents anyway.

Thanks for your imput,
Have you ever been to an car auction, because I am concidering that? but not too sure.
I have a questions for all you gs owners, have you had much problems with your gs after 100k miles, because from my es, I've had a few, but nothing too extreme.
Wheres the best place to buy used cars?
1. Online
2. Dealerships
3. Auctions
4. Newspaper ads
Thanks

Just FYI, even with your Cutlass in trade(or private sale) you will not be able to get a 98 300/ 400 at the Dealer Auctions so stick with the MKI GS to make your search easier.
