RealMarty, TSB?

The car has been in at least 2 times for the same rattle in a matter of 2 months...

They fix it, then 2 hours later...same thing...

It is really annoying the heck out of me!!!!!

DO THEY HAVE TO FIX IT?

I have 22k miles...in 6 months...

I want to switch dealerships, so will the other one fix it?

MikeGS4PE,

I feel for you. I REALLY hate it when something of mine is broken. Especially my car and especially when I go out of my way to have it fixed again and again and the damn thing is still broken. I get pissy until I get it resolved.

I'd think it's time for a new dealer service dept if it's not a major inconvenience. I also think Lexus customer service can help if you give them a call.

As for the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin), the number is BO002-99 - APR 99 - Glove Box Switch Rattle Noise (got it from http://www.alldata.com/TSB/31/98310710.html). Might want to ask your current dealer if he knows about this (or has tried it already).

Angry me too

I've got a 2000 GS3 and have had it with the rattles and creaks! I've been in to the dealer a number of times to get rattles fixed and as soon as they disappear, new ones pop up to take their place. I can confidently say it is the number one thing that turns me off about my GS. (#2 is the uncomfortable seats...or is it the windnoise). I get creaks from all over the center console and each air vent. All I have to do is take a finger and press in on the housing around a vent and out comes a creak. These are usually what I hear when going over bumpy terrain. I feel like taking some wd-40 and lubing up the ducts and instrument cluster but that would probably be a disaster. Ok..enough ranting..have to end on a positive note. I like my cars color!

Damn that sucks but I can relate. My GS makes noise all over the place. From the sunroof to the rear deck but I think the rear deck came loose after I added more power to the sub and it got louder. I think it's true that because GSs are so quiet you hear everything you don't normally able to hear in other cars that are not as quiet. Then again, my girl has 2000 Honda accord and it's really quiet, in fact i think it's more quieter than my GS except the engine noise and I don't hear any rattles from her car

The way it's going I might go with a mercedes when my lease expires in 2 years.
