Why don't you get the part number for the titanium HID headlights that will be on the 03 GS300 SportDesign? It's probably not available yet but I'm sure you'll be able to get the part number once the car is released. Here's the thread on the 03 GS300 SportDesign.

Those lights are real nice ! How much did you guys pay for the headlights if you don't mind me asking? Anyone else has more pics of them?

Diesel: They are HID headlamps. They were replacements covered under my extended warranty. Based on my observations, I've seen three styles of GS headlamps. The first being the regular clear model ('98-'00), the second having the slight blue/green tint ('01-present) and the third being the darker colored version myself and some other members appear to have received as replacements. My dealer had no explanation as to the darker color of my headlamps. But when I compared them to my friend's '99 GS400, there is an obvious color difference.

During Chicago Auto Show I looked at the 2003 GS430 headlights and they were smoked like on the pictures. I'm one of the members who got replacement smoked headlights recently, and I believe that we get what is in the current production as replacement. On the other hand I don't have a clue why Lexus is changing the lens colors, unless they are trying different vendors to resolve the fogging problems and they use different colors for easy identification.

sorry for resurrecting this.....I had my headlights replaced under warranty 6 months ago on a my 00 GS4 (condensation), and I literally just noticed about 15 minutes ago that they put in the black chrome headlights......i knew i liked them better than the old ones, but i just hadn't been able to put my finger on it then when i saw that this happened to other people, my thoughts were confirmed, and "Oh!....sweet!" they're the autoleveling HID's from the sportdesign...i'm 99% sure of it


....now if the dealer would only "accidentally" install under warranty tein cs w/edfc, daizen sways....oh the list goes on......(oh, like most of you haven't had a pipe dream here and there....twin turbos? uh huh)

yup, i'm just getting started.....the l-tuned steering ECU (first mod, i'm starting slowly) from steve should be here on the 12th....btw, after ordering from carson toyota.....now i understand. those guys rock. i'm out.

i think the black chromed headlights are ONLY avail from 03+...becuase my 02 sportdesign don't have those black headlights
