I misplaced a master car key. Now I only have 1 master key.
Will these steps work to get a spare master key? Will the remote works?

I've never purchased from that seller on ebay but it looks like those are the correct steps.

Find a locksmith on there and call around for pricing. I purchased a similar key on ebay for around $3.50 for my 00 gs 300 and switched the electronics from another key which had a shell that was falling apart. I brought the key to a local store who specializes in cutting keys and they said the ebay key metal composition would harm their machines and I would have to purchase a key from them. It ended up being $35 for their key, cut with my electronics (other stores were around $15-25 more). I ended up getting refunded on my key. Make sure the store you're bringing it to will cut the ebay key.

Or you could order a key from the ebay sellers who cut it by a picture you send them - that's what I did.

I would invest the $30 for the Techstream to program the key. TS will also allow you to CLEAR SLOTS from your ECU for other new keys.
