replaced battery key in door.now wont start..help with anti theft security reset
my 98gs300 will not start after battery replacement. I have the master key that I have used for years with no issue. I had a bad battery that I just replaced today. I know that the horn usually blares so for the first time I did leave the key in the door while replacing the battery.
When I went to to start the car it does not crank no interior lights are on none of the displays come on. I fiddled with taking off and on the positive terminal. The most recent time when I did it the interior lights were on and I was able to turn the key and test the stereo, hazard lights AC etc. As soon as I turn the key to turn it on it all shuts off again. What should I do next? It feels like some within the antitheft is disabling it. I never pay attention to the security light but I see it constantly flashing unless the key is in.
What should I do?
