Smile retrofit help

I'm about to start doing my LS 430 retro soon but just waiting on some more parts. For those that have done it whats the best sealant to use when putting the headlights back together?

The oem sealant already on the housings will work fine. Just reheat and press together. I've done multiple retros and never had a problem.

Just be sure to clamp them well. 3 on top 3 on bottom would be best.

Some of the factory rubber will be lost and deformed when you open them, it can't hurt to have some extra sealant and imo the cost is worth the security of not having to potentially dry them out and re-seal them later.

I agree with this comment. I used brand new headlights to do my retro and thought it would be fine just reusing the factory butyl, ended up getting moisture in there and had to do everything again and added extra butyl

Is it really that easy to do? Is $800 a good price to pay for a quad xenon set up with Morimoto mini H1?

Are you talking about $800 for you already having the parts and paying for the labor? Or for everything?
