98 GS400-65K too many miles??? Help-Quick
I am looking at a 98 GS400 with 65K miles. It appears to have been taken care of pretty well. Its at a car lot (not Lexus) so who knows, they could be feeding me a line of bull.
I need to make a decision on it fairly soon, should I be concerned about the mileage on the car. Any maintenance concerns, etc. I know the warranty is gone. I did a search but and not sure if I got a very good picture of what to expect.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello.
Welcome to the club!
You should definetly try to find out if the 60K service was done. It was one of the major services that is done when owning a lexus. As to your question about being concerned about the mileage... I would have to say no. Lexus' are extremely reliable and to say that 65K is just breaking it in would be a vey fair statement. How much are they asking? I would definetly jump on it if you feel its in great shape and what not! Good luck.
Also, the 60K service can be around 800 or so dollars (average.. it does vary though)... If you can somehow get the car checked by a private mechanic or con the dealer where the car is at to let you take it to a local Lexus dealership to have it quickly inspected, that would be great. I'm sure others will aid in what I just gave you but thats just a quick run down. Good luck again!
