I'm thinking about painting this part of the lower bumper black. What do you think?

I've seen it done in the past and didn't care for it. Reminded me a bit of newer Avalon mouth

I'd suggest posting in the photoshop forum to have somebody mock it up for you to see if you like it - that's what's important. If you do, go for it!

 

It would compliment your grill nicely. Get a PS done first just to give you an idea.

Try plastidip to see if you like it, doesn't take too much work or cost that much..
